Brian wins award for BAT!

BAT are super proud that one of our key volunteers and biggest advocates has been honoured for his work with the BAT Foundation!

Brian Kerr, a ping pong coach and bus driver based at Ash Grove in London, was highly commended by his employer Arriva in their national ‘Making a Difference’ Award last month.

Not only did Brian receive an award in the ‘Giving’ category, he also received recognition for his contribution to BAT in the ‘Arriva Community Action Gold’ Award, which included a £1,000 that Brian amazingly donated to BAT too!

We love Brain, who said “I chose to get involved with the BAT Foundation because it is such a fantastic charity, and the work they do is just phenomenal.”

Having not played table tennis for some 20 years, a trip to Bounce saw Brian rekindle his love for the game, saying “My heart immediately was excited. I found out about the charity, and decided it was a good opportunity to get involved.” and “For me the perfect solution was to join BAT, attend their events and perform the exhibitions. It is a fabulous way I find to give something back to the sport.”

BAT’s events would not be the success they are without Brian and we are forever grateful for the time he gives to our work, going above and beyond every time, and bringing a smile to everyone who comes visits our exhibitions. Thank you Brian. Never change!
