Get Involved

1 in 3 people born in 2015 will be diagnosed with dementia in their lifetime. You can help your friends, family, and loved ones fight back right now. Interventions encouraging more regular physical activity are likely to be hugely effective at combating the disease This is where we come in with our ground breaking BAT Therapy Table and Therapy Activity Programme… but we can’t do it alone.

Your support, however big or small, will go towards our cutting edge research, delivering table tennis activity training to care providers and most importantly to donating our BAT Therapy Tables direct to care settings, health bodies, and community organisations all over the UK.

Do it your way

There are many ways you can help to make that happen, by either donating to support our work or by helping your local community through raising funds to purchase a BAT Therapy Table…even helping change the way we treat Alzheimer’s forever!

    • Donate to BAT: The quickest and simplest way to support BAT is with a direct donation. Just click the button above. The smallest amount can make the biggest difference and a regular donation will go even further.
    • Organise an event: From swear jars to bake sales, get your friends, family, and work mates involved too with a fun activity. We’ve given you a few starter ideas below and some downloadable guides to help you too.
    • Enter a challenge: Maybe you’re already signed up or thinking of entering that local 5K assault course, 10K fun run, or 20K bike ride and are looking for a good cause to support… well, look no further.

If you do deliver or enter an event, be sure to download a BAT Sponsorship Form to allow everyone to donate to you… BAT will be able to make their funds go even further with Gift Aid.

  • Seasonal: How about an office Christmas Jumper day, Easter Hunt, or halloween face painting day.

Sending your funds to BAT
We cannot thank you enough for wanting to donate to BAT and support our work. Every donation, no matter how large or small will go to making a positive difference for those living with Alzheimer's... but how do you send your money to us?
  • Online: The easiest and simplest way to support BAT is to make a direct donation through our website. Just hit the button at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions.
  • Cheque: These should be made payable to 'BAT Foundation' and posted to 'BAT Foundation, Bounce HQ, 121 holborn, London, EC1N 2TD'. If you let us know it's on its way, we'll keep an eye out for it.
  • Cash: Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to receive cash donations. If you're unable to make an online or cheque donation, please contact us to discuss further.

Boost your donation by 25p for every £1 raised!
I'm sure you already know, but Gift Aid allows UK charities like BAT to claim back the tax on your donations. It's great as it means we can get more money for donations with no extra cost to you or the donor. For example through Gift Aid a £10 donation becomes £12.50... and all it takes is the tick of a box! If you're a UK taxpayer, provide a few details, and tick the box when prompted, BAT can make your donation go further and help even more people with Gift Aid - and you don't need to do anything else! You can read more about Gift Aid here. Remember, if you're running an event or taking on a challenge, you can use our BAT Sponsorship Form to raise funds to support our work or acquire a BAT Therapy Table directly for your organisation or to donate to a local care setting.
