Beating Alzheimer’s at its own game!

Caring 4 Sussex, a free quarterly magazine packed with interesting features and information for everyone who cares about Sussex and its people, have done a fantastic feature on BAT and the work we’re doing.

Aside from our major body of research and ground breaking equipment development, BAT have an innovative arts project…a series of currently 40 portraits of iconic celebrities who’s lives have been blighted by this disease…which Caring 4 Sussex have picked up on as several pieces were by Sussex artists.

The series depicts immediately recognisable famous faces from the worlds of politics, art, sport, and film, to highlight that no matter how talented, no one is immune from Alzheimer’s…we’ll be sharing more of these amazing and hugely important awareness raising portraits soon.

Additionally BAT are working with Sports For All Sussex, an organisation that aims to provide more sporting opportunities to adults with disabilities across Sussex. Sports For All are helping us to donate tables to care settings in the region over the coming months as part of our outreach.
